Coral Sea - Easter Weekend

So, kiddies - a couple of weeks ago, I got back from the most incredible diving trip up to the Coral Sea (the body of water to the east of the Great Barrier Reef). 6 days, 5 nights - 4 nights of which were spent out in the open sea on a liveaboard, the Spirit of Freedom. Flew up to Carins, spent the night, took a smaller prop plane out to Lizard Island, walked across, took a small tender out to the moored ship, and we were on our way.

15 dives in 4 days, and some of the most spectacular underwater sights I've seen yet, including a shark feed, a potato cod, manta rays (3 of them at the same time), and all manner of dangerous and poisonous beasties. Great food, great people, great fun - nothing to do but dive, eat, sleep, and sunbathe.

I've assembled everything into a handy Picasa album for your viewing enjoyment.
